How your gifts help us

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden is maintained with funding from Washoe County’s Department of Regional Parks and Open Space and generous contributions from the Wilbur May Foundation. The May Arboretum Society relies on its members, fundraising events and the generosity of donors like you to fund garden upgrades, horticulture and educational programming, as well as sustainability of the gardens for years to come.

Thanks

Thanks to supporters throughout the year and at special times of planned giving, the Arboretum Society is able to achieve its organizational mission – to serve the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden through creating and maintaining educational opportunities which foster greater awareness, understanding and appreciation of the role of plants in the high desert and mountain bio-regions and by promoting the beauty and benefits of the Arboretum in our community and state.
