This year we are celebrating 40 years of our support of the May Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. We’re so proud to achieve this milestone in our Society’s history.
We couldn’t have done it without the ongoing drive and support of our leadership, members and donors.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each of our current members, past members, leaders and donors for bringing the May Arboretum Society to this milestone anniversary.
A Brief History of the May Arboretum Society
The May Arboretum Society was established in 1986. In 1994 the Society was first granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS as a not-for-profit charitable organization, and this status was confirmed in 2020. Through fundraising, educational events, donations, and volunteer hours, we support the continued improvement and growth of the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
