How your gifts help us

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden is owned and operated by Washoe County. The society funds operations like staff, vehicles and equipment, plus repairs, maintenance and the growth of the arboretum. The May Arboretum Society relies on its members, fundraising events and the generosity of donors like you to fund garden upgrades, horticulture and educational programming, as well as sustainability of the garden for years to come.

May Arboretum Society Endowment Fund

Established by the May Arboretum Society and the Arboretum personnel, the Endowment Fund’s purpose is to support in perpetuity the Arboretum and to support future educational programming, operations, and arboretum personnel. It is our hope that the Endowment Fund will assist in fulfilling the mission of the Society and the mission of the Arboretum for generations to come.

The May Arboretum Society Endowment Fund

Established by the May Arboretum Society in 2018, the purpose of the Endowment Fund to support in perpetuity the Arboretum, and to support future educational programming, operations, and arboretum personnel. Since only the interest from the endowment may be spent, the principal will always be available. It is our goal to grow the Endowment Fund so the interest gained will continually grow and support the Arboretum for generations to come.
