The May Arboretum Endowment Fund

Please consider a generous donation to the May Arboretum Society Endowment Fund, created to provide sustainable, consistent support for the operations, staffing, maintenance, and education outreach of the Arboretum.

Welcome to our website!

The May Arboretum Society is a nonprofit whose mission is to support the operations, outreach, and sustainability of the Arboretum.

The Society’s events, memberships, annual fund drive, and fundraising for specific projects provide the critical support so necessary for the maintenance of the Arboretum.

The Society encourages you to consider the many ways that you can support the Arboretum.  Your volunteer time and gifts make the difference in keeping this treasure in northern Nevada for generations to come!

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum & Botanical Garden

The Arboretum is truly a hidden treasure of northern Nevada. It is very near to achieving Level IV accreditation, making it one of the top four arboretums in the western U.S. !

The Arboretum, located in Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno, NV, is at a tipping point! With the assistance of many supporters, including the Wilbur D. May Foundation and Washoe County, the Arboretum has provided outreach and a place of refuge and renewal, amassed a botanical treasure, contributed to protecting and preserving scarce botanical resources, and developed a very exciting master plan.

But current economic conditions dictate that the Arboretum must develop a strong sustainability plan to preserve and protect its current assets and to build out the Master Plan. We ask you to join us as we ensure that the Arboretum will continue to be one of Nevada’s treasures.
